COLONIE- Catherine I. Manchuck, 100 , passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 20, 2008 at St. Peters Hospital. She was born and educated in Catskill and was the daughter of the late Edwin and Viola Carter.
Catherine was a US Army veteran serving during WWII. She had lived in Clarksville for many years. Catherine was a bookkeeper at the former John B. Hauf Furniture Company and E.V. Hoit Company in Albany for several years.
She was predeceased by her husbands Adam Manchuck and Benning DeLaMater, her son Benning DeLaMater Jr. and her sister Lavina Moss. She is the cherished aunt of Viola McKaig, Janice Nugent and Constance Senrick. Catherine is also survived by three grand daughters, Gail, Patrice and Laurie and several great grandchildren and grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A calling hour will precede the service from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Athens Rural Cemetery. To leave a special message for the family online, visit NewcomerFamily.com
