Colonie- Catherine J. O'Brien, 83, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2007, at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Moran. Catherine is predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years John H. O'Brien; her brothers, Thomas, William, and John, and her sister Mary. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home for all their care and support.
Catherine is loving mother of Diane Stanton, Deborah Wentz and Marian LaFrance. She is survived by her 9 cherished grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, her sisters Helen and Margaret and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.newcomerfamily.com.
