Catherine M. Taft
July 1, 1947 — February 5, 2015
Clifton Park- Catherine Mary (Roonan) Taft of Halfmoon NY, entered into eternal peace on February 5th, 2015 after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Catherine was born in Ballston Spa where she attended high school after which she attended the Albany Business College.
Catherine spent 25 wonderful years working for the Kenwood Convent of the Sacred Heart as Director of Development, surrounded by "her nuns" whom she cherished dearly; she often talked about the inspiration they brought her.
She loved to travel, particularly in the US and Europe, and enjoyed her summer camp surrounded by her many friends.
Catherine is survived by her husband Frank, the love her life of 48 years, sons Brian (Karen) and Jason (Jennifer) and beloved grandchildren, Allison, Gabriella, Cole and Dylan.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to The Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St. Saratoga Springs NY, 12866.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 4:00pm- 8:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. A mass will be held the following day Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 812 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308 at 11:00am.
