ALBANY – Catherine "Kay" M. Winchell, 87, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home in East Greenbush, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Albany, Kay is predeceased by her parents, Hugh F. and Frances A. (Simmons) Clark; six sisters and three brothers. She was also predeceased by two husbands, Leonard L. Di Bella and Joseph H. Winchell III.
Kay is survived by her loving children, Kathryn M. (Martin) Miller, Kenneth L. Di Bella and Robert J. (Ann Marie) Di Bella. She has four loving grandchildren, Robyn (Gregory) Ziegler, Kimberly Redden, Martin Miller and Anna Di Bella; four cherished great-grandchildren, Matthew Adams, Christina Adams, Zachery Ziegler and Stephanie Ziegler and a multitude of much loved nieces and nephews.
Kay was a devoted communicant of The Cathedral of All Saints Episcopal Church where she was a member of the Altar Guild and a Choir Mother.
Kay was loved by all and reciprocated so much love and wisdom. She will be greatly missed by all.
A burial Eucharist will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at The Cathedral of All Saints Episcopal Church, Swan and Elk Streets, Albany, all are welcomed. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. Interment will be in Memory Gardens in Colonie.
