Schenectady- Catherine J. Maré, 64, passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 4, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Catherine was the daughter of the late George and Mary Lent. Catherine was the devoted wife to George J. Maré. They were married 43 beautiful years.

Cathy was very devoted Mom and Nana. She enjoyed shopping, going on bus trips especially to the casinos with her husband and siblings. Cheering her grandkids on at events was one of her favorite past times. You could always find her sharing stories about her family, laughing, with a cup of coffee in her hand. Family was Cathy's world, for she loved every one of them.

Cathy is survived by her children, Travis (Monica), Jason (Vicki); grandchildren, Nicholas, Rachel, Anthony, Gabriella, Jackson and Noah; her siblings, nieces, nephews and many loving friends.

Visitations will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm . A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home at 7:00 pm .
