Catherine May Williams

Albany – Catherine M. Williams, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2014. Born in Hensonville, NY she is the daughter of the late Wilsey and Lillian Bartholomew Oliver, Sr.

Catherine cherished spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She loved to shop and travel to Vermont, Maine and Cape Cod with her family. Catherine was an animal lover, with all of her pets waiting for her at rainbow bridge

Catherine is survived by her children, Cynthia (Jim) Apuzzo and Mark (Taunya)Williams, Sr.; her grandchildren Mark Williams, Jr., Kelden Hannibal-Williams and Omarra Hannibal-Williams; her siblings, Richard (Pat) Osborn Jr., Kenneth (Carol) Osborn, Beatrice Osborn (Al) Hoffmeyer, Shirley (Robert) Haller and Joan (Paul) Oliver Marr; her sister-in-law, Rita Oliver; and her brother-in-law Sante Silvestri, Sr.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

Catherine is the widow of Walter Lee Williams and was also predeceased by her step-father Richard Orville Osborn; her sister Jean Oliver Silvestri; her brother, Wilsey Oliver Jr.; three nieces and one nephew

Calling hours for Catherine will be held Wednesday September 17th from 5-8 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral, 343 New Karner Rd. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Memory Gardens.

The family would like to thank Craneville Place of Dalton and Western Massachusetts Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion given to Catherine during her illness.
