ALTAMONT – Cathy S. Lawler, 64, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Cathy was born on July 1, 1948 in Mt. Vernon, NY and is the daughter of Charlotte M. (Cockroft) Roeder and the late Harry E. Roeder. She graduated from nursing school as a register nurse and started at Albany Medical Center, then was a school nurse at Altamont Elementary, then to Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home and then retiring from Island Peer Review Organization in 2005. She enjoyed her camp in the Adirondacks with her family.
In addition to her mother, Cathy is survived by her husband, Paul J. Lawler; her loving children, Andrew P. (Shannon) Lawler of Latham and Jennifer G. (Christopher) Kirby of Schenectady; her cherished grandchildren, Andrew P. Lawler Jr., Morgan A. Lawler, and Thomas C. Kirby; her siblings, Caren Roeder and Richard (Brenda) Roeder; and her nieces, Sarah and Charlotte Roeder.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 4 to 7 p.m.
