ALBANY- Cedric A. Kitchen, 78, of Albany, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 26, 2008 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Winthrop, MA, he was raised in Revere, MA and was the son of the late Lambert and Martha Kitchen. Cedric served in the IUS Army during the Korean War. He was 1961 graduate of Northeastern University. He enjoyed a forty year career as a Mechanical Engineer. Cedric was a tax preparer for H & R Block for the past 17 years. He was a member of Gideon's International and a faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Cedric is the beloved husband of 56 years to Mildred A. Kitchen. He is the devoted father of Becky (Koos) Van Dam, Debbie (John) Reilly, Linda (Frank) Maltais and Doug (Lori) Kitchen. He is the brother of Marion (Bill) Evans. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 at the Church of the Nazarene, 2535 Consaul Rd. Schenectady. Interment will be in Peabody, MA at a later date. At the request of the family, memorial contributions are suggested to Eastern Nazarene College Kitchen Family Scholarship Fund, 23 East Elm Ave., Quincy, MA 012170 in memory of Cedric A. Kitchen.
