Cellestine Mauzon

Watervliet– Cellestine "Meemee" Mauzon, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday January 7, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy, after a brief illness.
Cellestine was born in South Carolina to Ezekiel and Maebell Simon Mauzon, and moved to the Troy area in the mid 1970's. For the past 21 years, she has worked for the New York State Dept. of Taxation and Finance.
In addition to her mother, Cellestine is survived by her only daughter, Lynetta N. Henry; her grandchildren, Tanija, Ginaya, Gionna , and Ky'liah, her loving companion, Luther Sanders, her sisters, Patricia, Donnita, Renita and Ernestine; her brothers, Harry, Aundra, Ezekiel Jr., and Derrick; her sister-in-laws Sharon, Marcella, and Tricinne; her godsons, Akeem and Altis; her special cousins, Cheryl, Lorraine and Blondell and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, goddaughter, Shamara and close friends.
In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her sister, Jerline Mauzon- Pegram.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at Fifth Ave. A.M.E. Zion Church, 189 5th Avenue, Troy. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:00 to 11:00 at the church. The Eastern Star Service will be at 10:30. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Troy, NY .
