Ceresa C. Simms

TROY, NY – Ceresa C. Simms, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 13, 2008. She was born on September 2, 1932 in Clarksdale, MI to the late Josephine Jenkins and James Cook. Ceresa was educated in the Mississippi school system and moved to New York in the early 1950's. She worked as an environmental technician for Albany Memorial Hospital. She attended St. John's Church of God in Christ in Albany. She leaves to cherish her memory, eight children, two sisters, eight brothers and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. at St. John's Church of God in Christ, 94 Herkimer Street, Albany. Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00 to 12:00 at the church. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
