ALBANY – Chaney A. Tucker, 79, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday,
September 26, 2006 at St. Peter's Hospital after a long illness. She was
born in Halifax, VA and was the daughter of the late Coles and Alice Easley.
She retired from the Samuel S. Stratton Veterans Administration Hospital
after 30 years of service. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Robert Holt Tucker.
Chaney is survived by her daughter, Susie A. Tucker-Ross of Albany; her son, Howard Holt Tucker of North Hampton, MA; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Tuesday at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 3 Morton Ave., Albany. A calling hour will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the church, prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
