Charles B. Shippee

Castleton-on-Hudson- Charles B. Shippee, 63, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016. Charles was born on April 5, 1953 in Rhode Island and was the son of Beverly and the late Harold Shippee.
He was a graduate of Cornell and Russel Sage with the degree Master of Science. He loved to fish, play computer games, and provide a helping hand to his loved ones. He was a strong advocate for formal education and worked in the NYS Dept. of Education; retiring after 30+ years of state service.
Charles is predeceased by his loving daughter Teresa Shippee. Charles was survived by his loving wife Sandy Shippee and Jason Shippee.
Calling hours are between 5 and 7pm Friday, August 26, 2016 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. in Colonie.
