Charles Carter, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 20, 2020 after a long illness.
Charles was born on September 20, 1961 in Albany, NY to the proud parents of Charles and Mary Ruth Carter.
Charles was educated in the Albany Public System. He worked for Albany Medical Center Hospital for approximately 25 years and prior to his death he worked for the Northeastern Association of the Blind at Albany for approximately 15 years.
Charles is survived by his mother, Mary Ruth Carter of Albany, NY; Sisters: Beatrice Moore of GA; June Pope (Lynn), Charlean Jones (Sha-Heem), Christine and Shelly Carter of Albany, NY; Brothers: Clark, Tommy and Butch Carter of Albany, NY; Sons: Charles III (Egypt) and Amir Carter of Albany, NY; Daughters: Catera Wood of GA; Charleena Ellis, Iris Johnson, Clarissa Wilson of Albany, NY and a host grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is predeceased by his wife, Bernadine (Bunny) Carter; his father, Charles Carter, Sr.; and his brother, Gemmy Lee Carter.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and funeral service will follow at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany 12205.
Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed both inside and outside of our chapels.
