Charles "Charlie" J. Leto

Charlie Leto, 78, passed away on August 26, 2024. Born in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late Mary Ann (Reehl) and Samuel Leto and was predeceased by infant brother, John.

Charlie is survived by Ann Scherbyk Leto; son, Daniel, granddaughter Bella, Rose Guyett; son Jeffrey Leto; daughter Gina Leto (Chuck Newman), Mary Ellen (Hanchett) Leto, sons: Samuel, Salvatore and Dominic; siblings: James (Donna), Michael (Darlene), Mark (Judy), Paul (Barbara) and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. 

Charlie worked for his parents at 5 Bros. Sand & Gravel Co. and later had his own trucking business based in the Capital Region. Charlie was kind hearted and taught alot of people how to drive trucks for hauling and moving equipment. He enjoyed and was involved with his cousin Joe Jr's Stock car, the infamous #50 driven by Tommy Corellis and Kenny Shoemaker and traveled the stock circuits with his cousin Joe Jr. and was liked and respected by all that knew him. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Tuesday September 3, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. All are invited to attend his funeral service at the funeral home following at 12 Noon. Interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
