COLONIE - Charles V. Zeoli Sr., 68, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Charles was born on May 24, 1947 in Albany and was the son of the late Angelo and Marjorie (Ford) Zeoli Sr. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1964 to 1967, attaining the rank of Private First Class.
Chuck was an entrepreneur, owning many business' in the area, Zeoli's, Nancy's Lunchonette, Papa Angelo's, C & D Limousine Service, and Albany County Limousine Service. Other professional careers included, George A. Fuller Co., All Safe Security, Dobbs House, Inc., Colortyme TV, Brinks Security and Capitaland Taxi. He was loving, generous, funny, caring, peaceful and had a heart of gold. He enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Atlantic City, listening to many types of music, watching TV - especially comedies, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Charles married his Junior High School Sweetheart, Nancy E. Severino on January 15, 1966 at St. Margaret Mary's Church in Albany (now All Saints Catholic Church).
In addition to his loving wife of 49 years, Nancy E. (Severino) Zeoli, Charles is the devoted father of Lisa Zeoli and her companion, Steve Fitch of Niskayuna, Charles V. Zeoli Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Ravena and the late Robert J. Zeoli. He is the cherished grandfather of Karl LaWare (Shereen), Kyle LaWare (Alexandra), Jenna-Lee "Muffin" Ciota, Conner Zeoli and Chad "Stretch" Zeoli. He was poppy to his great granddaughter, Ava "Lovey" LaWare. He is the loving brother of Michael Zeoli and his wife, Linda and Marie Bubonia and her husband, Steven and brother-in-law of Rose Zeoli. He is also survived by his Severino family, Phyllis and Jim Desmo, Denise (the late Peter) Severino, Charles Severino Jr., Joseph Severino and Barbara DiTomasso. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, as well as his cat, Paws. In addition to his parents and son, Charles is predeceased by his brothers, Thomas Zeoli and Angelo Zeoli Jr. and his parents-in-laws, Charles and Ruth Severino.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Thursday at All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead Street, Albany (off Route 20). Interment with military honors will follow at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
