LATHAM-Charles M. Culhane, 84, of Sherwood Drive, Latham passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Culhane was born in the Bronx, NY, the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Culhane. He has resided in Latham since 1955 and was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the US Navy. Mr. Culhane was a carpet salesman for Ted's Floor Covering and Gentiles and was also a Bus Driver for Colonie Senior Citizens. He and his wife enjoyed boating on the Mohawk River and traveling around the United States including many trips to Florida. In addition, Mr. Culhane was a member of the American Legion and the Watervliet Gun Club.
Mr. Culhane is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Agnes (Hinds) Culhane of Latham, his children Christopher (Sue) Culhane of East Greenbush, Gregory (Linda) Culhane of Cape Cod, Anne (Edward, Jr.) Balmes of Rotterdam and Matthew (Kathleen) Culhane of Scotia, and his beloved grandchildren Grady, Tessa, Alexandra, Maxine and Peyton.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
