ALBANY – Charles E. Kelly, 57, went home to the Lord on Monday, June 15, 2009. He was born in Anniston, AL and was the son of the late Janice Kelly. He was a graduate of Cobb High School in Alabama and attended San Bernardino Valley College in California. Charles lived in California for eighteen years and then to Alabama before relocating to Albany in 1993. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving his country for ten years. Upon relocating to Albany, he worked at Glenmont Job Corp and was currently working as a Diesel Electrician at CSX Railroad in Selkirk. Charles enjoyed music and loved playing his guitar. Charles is the beloved husband of 33 years to Deborah D. (Rorie) Kelly. He is the devoted father of Taratus and Jamarr Kelly and Jocelyn Clark. He is the cherished grandfather of Kearia and Daijha. Also surviving is his grandmother, Bertha Rosser, his special sister, Carolyn Coleman and his special aunts, Hattie Whitehead and Mrs. Porter. Charles is the brother-in-law of Connie, Louanna, Leda, Lee, Charles, Israel and the late Darlene and Stanford. A host of cousins and friends also survive.
A Memorial Service will be held in Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at Capital City Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2 South Lake Ave., Albany.
