COLONIE – Charles G. Bechard, 43, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Louis and Jeanine Bechard.
Charles served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a carpenter for Precision Glass and Aluminum in Scotia. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and carpentry. Charles also loved traveling around the Adirondacks. He was known to always help a friend in need.
Charles was predeceased by his brother, Louis Bechard, and uncle, John Charbonneau.
He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Kerrie (Pascale) Bechard; sister-in-laws Penny Simons of Hammond, NY, and Andrea Smith of Ballston Spa; brother-in-law Michael Pascale of Rossie, NY, and several nieces and nephews. His beloved dog Pearl also survives.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie. Memorial calling hours will precede the service on Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Stanford Heights Fire Department, 2240 Central Ave, Schenectady, NY 12304 in Charles' name.
