LOUDONVILLE- Charles D. Hoyt, 74, of Loudonville, passed away on Saturday October 28, 2006 at the Inn of Community Hospice at St. Peters Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Queens, NY and was the son of the late Lyman and Edith Day Hoyt. Charles served in the US Army from 1956 to 1958 where he earned the rank of Warrant Officer. He worked in Sales and Marketing Management for 33 years before retiring from Allied Security in East Greenbush. In recent years, he was a ranger/starter at the Town of Colonie Golf Course and an instructor with Right Way Driving Center. He was a lover of all sports, an avid golfer and a computer enthusiast. He was a member of the Colonie Elks #2192.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife of fifty years, Anna Ciampi Hoyt; He is the devoted father of Charles D. (Linda) Hoyt Jr. and the late Harrison N. Hoyt. He is the cherished grandfather of Matt, Lauren and Lindsay Hoyt. He is the brother of the late Edith Martin.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 9:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to St. Francis de Sales Church, Maria Drive at 10:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis de Sales Church, 1 Maria, Drive Loudonville, NY 1221 in memory of Charles D. Hoyt. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Newcomerfamily.com
