Charles J. Borini

ROTTERDAM-Charles J. Borini, 81, of Rotterdam, NY passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at his residence. Charles was born in Pittston, Pennsylvania, one of seven children to the late Alessandro and Josephine Borini. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School, Class of 1949. Charles retired from General Electric in 1986 after thirty seven years of service. During his retirement, he worked part-time for Manheim Albany Auto Auction for seventeen years. Charles was an active member of the Rotterdam Elks club for twenty years. He enjoyed golf and NASCAR.
Charles is the beloved husband of 58 years to Elinor R. Borini of Rotterdam. He is the loving father of Patricia A. Longo of Kansas City, Missouri, Melinda A. Bell of Searcy, Arkansas, Charles A. Borini of Ballston Spa and Steve C. Borini of Rotterdam. Charles is also survived by his grandchildren Jennifer, Charles, Nicholas, Brian, Matthew, Shelby, Alexander and Isabella and by his great grandchildren Tyler, Noah, Elena and Lilly.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, April 26, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Scotia Animal Shelter in memory of Charles.
