Charles A. Jung Sr. , 87, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday February 14 at St. Peter's Hospital.
Charles was born in Norwood, OH on July 4, 1934 to the late Charles and Margaret Jung. He graduated from Elmira Catholic High School. Charles served his country in the United States Air Force. He then went on to have a successful 30 year career with United Parcel Service. In retirement, when he was not actively participating in his grandchildren's lives, he was playing golf.
Charles was a long time member of the Shaker Ridge Country Club. He was also member of the American Legion and Colonie Elks lodge of Latham NY.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Teresa.
Charles is survived by his sons Charles A. (Andrea) Jung Jr, of Malta, David M. (Brenda) Jung of Colonie, grandchildren Michael and Lisa Jung of Colonie, brothers Warren and Kenneth Jung of Rochester NY.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 22nd from 4pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie NY 12205
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday February 23rd at 10am at Christ Our Light Church, 1 Maria Drive, Albany NY 12211
Interment to follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
