Charles L. Anderson Jr.

SCHENECTADY- Charles L. Anderson Jr., 87, of Schenectady, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Charles L. and Mary Jane Anderson. Charles was a WWII Army veteran and served as a Tech Sgt. 4 Radio Corp operator. He was a self employed carpenter for many years. A talented entertainer, he performed with his brother's as the Melody Mountain Boys and with his son's as the Memphis Four. He was a member of the American Amateur Radio League.
Charles was predeceased in 2003 by his wife Irene Meisner Anderson.
He is the beloved father of Sarah LaDuke, Charles L. Anderson III (Anne) and Richard T. Anderson (Donna). He is the brother of Arthur Anderson (Marion), Robert Anderson (Mary), Joyce Meeks (Bill) and the late Donald, Bill and Richard Anderson, Mary Jane Kipp and Bill Kent. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 11:00 at Newcomer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Saratoga National VA Cemetery.
