Charles L. Konopka

Charles L. Konopka, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Ellis hospital. Charles was born in Philadelphia, PA. Charles worked for American Locomotive CO, working on Steam and Diesel engines and tanks and later would retire from General Electric as a welder. Charles was predeceased by his loving wife, Jane Konopka.
Charles is survived by his beloved sons; Francis and Thomas Konopka; his adored grandchildren, Jane (Chuck) Lobosco and Jill Konopka; his cherished great-grandchildren, Charles and Jonathan Lobosco.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 9 to 11 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in Charles's memory.
