COLONIE, NY - Charles was born on Tuesday, April 21st 1970 to JoAnne Marie Clark and Charles Long Sr. He was the proud father of two sons, Charles Long Jr & Kharan Frison, whom he loved deeply. He was a grandfather to one grandchild Jena Long and he treasured every moment in his role as "Pop-Pop".
Charles had successful career as an overnight supervisor at St. Catherines Center for Children, where he provided services for more than 20 years. He was deeply loved by staff members, colleagues, and the children under his care.
In December 2022, Charles and his siblings lovingly laid to rest their youngest brother Atiba Long in Daytona, Florida.
He is survived by his loving and supportive wife Charlene Richard-Long, who he journeyed with for over 27 years. Charles also leaves behind his legacy of love in the hearts of his father, aunts, sons, siblings: Nieema, Ahshaki, Aminata & Elijah, granddaughter Jena, nieces & nephews: Kelanii, Madison, Tonnie, Kaheem, Josiah Jr., Dana, Seth, Jaelen, brothers in love: Randy, Damon, & Josiah Sr., great nieces & nephew: Victoria, Mary, & and a host of cousins whom he loved dearly.
Visitation will be held from 11:30am to 12:30 pm with a celebration of life to immediately follow at 12:30 pm on Friday, January 20, 2023 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
