Albany – Charles T. Mirella, Sr., 80, passed away on Saturday September 27, 2014. Born in Albany, he is the son of the late Carmello and Katherine Mirella (Zizzo).

Charlie was a graduate of Phillip Livingston High School in Albany and worked at SUNYA for more than 30 years as a Maintenance Supervisor before his retirement. Among other talents, he was a skilled craftsman and cabinet maker. He always held his family and close friends dear to his heart.

Charlie is survived by his wife Shirley; his children, Judith Mirella, Charles H. (Deb) Mirella, Shirley (Wayne) Farmer and Trudy (Kirk) Adriance. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours for Charlie will be Thursday October 2nd from 4 to 8 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 3rd at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
