Charles Aurillius Ray, Jr., a father, son, brother, uncle grandfather and great grandfather was called home to be with the Lord on
Monday April 29, 2019 at the age of 92 due to natural causes.
Born on May 26, 1926 to Charles A Ray Senior and wife Bessie Ray in Cobleskill, NY. Charles served in the United States Navy during WWII and was honorably discharged thereafter. He married his wife Geraldine (Moreland of GA, called home on August 31, 2001) and that union produced 8 children.
Charles was preceeded home by 4 of his eight children: Kenneth Martin USMC, James Richard, Charlene Gaylin and David Timothy USMC. He is survived by his other 4 children: Charles III of Albany NY, Dorothy Ann of Pittsburgh PA, John Donald USMC of CA and William Robert of Atlanta, GA. along with a host of neices, nephews, grands and great-grands.
Visitation will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 11:30 - 12:30. A Time of Sharing will take place at the funeral home at 12:30 pm.
Charles will be laid to rest with Military Honors at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY at 2:30 pm and officiated by New Comer Cremations and Funerals.
