Charles A. Skinkle

Charles A. Skinkle, 77. passed away from Cancer on November 29, 2024 (Black Friday) at the V.A. Stratton Hospital in Albany. He was raised in Albany NY, the son of Genevieve (Fitzpatrick) and the late Charles F. Skinkle. Charles enlisted in the Marines in 1966, proudly serving and receiving and honorable discharge. He worked most of his life in retail, among other adventures. 

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by sister, Katherine Richardson. 

Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Margaret; children, Kim Lamphere, Charles Skinkle Jr., Kirk Skinkle; stepdaughters, Melissa A. Simione, Heather A. Beck and Sarah A. Thorpe; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren, mother Genevieve, siblings Janet T. Skinkle, and Michael Skinkle (Michael W. Krahula). 

He always had a smile and was a loving and giving soul. He had the most beautiful blue eyes. Chuck will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

The family would like to thank the staff at V.A. Stratton for their care of Chuck. 

A visitation will be held on Friday December 6th from 4pm-6:30pm, with a service to be held at 6:30pm, at New Comer Cremation & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd Colonie NY.
