In Loving Memory of Charles E. Williams "Papa Chuck"
June 6th, 1959 - September 19th, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Charles E. Williams.
Our Papa - the man, the myth, the legend who peacefully crossed over on the morning of September 19th, 2023 with his children by his side. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and enduring memories that will forever continue on through all the lives he has touched.
The son of Kathleen Koonz Williams and Charles Williams, he was born on June 6th, 1959 in Albany, N.Y. into a large amazing family. Along with his parents, he will be welcomed at the gates by his late brother, Michael Bernard Sr. He attended Albany High School where he then continued on to become a medic in the Army. After serving, he chose to continue to help others and invested his career into W.W.A.A.R.C. Now a director, known for his unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence. He approached his career with diligence and integrity, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. His passion for his work was only surpassed by his love for his family.
He strived to create a better future for himself and his children - Charles Williams Jr. (Stephanie), Christina Williams, Eric Williams (Andrea), and Lauren Williams. Also, his legacy lives on through his grandchildren, Brady, Kyler, and Archie. He has also touched the lives of his adopted children Nadine and Ray O'Donnell, Donald, and Jon-Mike.
In his spare time, Chuck had a variety of interests and hobbies. Whether it was going camping, taking vacations, playing PlayStation, hanging with friends, or picking out his next costume, he approached everything he did with the same enthusiasm and dedication that marked his life. Chuck was not only a wonderful family man but also a dear friend to many. His generosity, compassion, and ability to bring a smile to the faces of those around him endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a way of making everyone feel special, and his presence would light up any room.
As we mourn the loss of Chuck, we also celebrate the remarkable life he lived and the indelible impact he left on our hearts. His memory will forever live on, and his legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to inspire us.
A memorial service to honor Papa Chuck's life will be held on Sunday, September 24th from 5pm to 7pm at New Comer Funeral Home located at 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie N.Y. The celebration of life will be held on the same day from 1PM to 4:30PM at his place of work. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Warren, Washington, Albany A.R.C. - a cause that was dear to his heart.
Though Chuck may no longer be with us in body, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all those who were touched by his love and warmth. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing that he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
