Charlotte B. Kincel was born on August 8, 1945 in Richmondville, NY to her parents Carl and Mabel (Morrison) Butler. She passed away at the age of 70 in Cape Coral, FL.
Charlotte loved taking care of others. It has shown throughout her life long career of being an educator over 30 years at Schalmont Middle School. She loved to spend her time outdoors being active. She enjoyed hiking, canoeing, cycling, skiing, traveling, and most of all spending her time with her family and friends. Charlotte is known for making everything pretty through her decorating, dressing, parties, gift presentation and cake decorating. She enjoyed giving back to her community by volunteering at the Cape Coral Hospital and at Proctor's Theatre, NY in addition to raising money for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter Kirsten (Jeff) VanDyk of Schenectady, NY and her son Kurt Kincel of Avon, CO; grandchildren Gabrielle and Andrew VanDyk; siblings Alvin (Jane) Butler, Roberta Raymond, Janet Mauk, Lorraine (Reginald) Kingsley, and Lawrence (Barb) Butler and many friends who will miss her dearly.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her former husband Melvin Kincel.
A Memorial Celebration of her life will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, on Tuesday February 23rd, 2016 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm with a celebration of life service at 5:00pm.
