Charlotte J. Jones

TROY, NY – Charlotte J. "Char" Jones, 61, passed away suddenly at Albany Medical Center on Friday, April 29, 2011. Born in Utica, NY she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Humphreys. Char lived in upstate New York for most of her life. She graduated from Schenectady County Community College with an associate's degree in accounting. Char was an entertainer, skilled vocalist, songwriter and a talented musician who played many instruments. She was very involved in many church functions for many churches in the area. Char is the loving wife of Raymond Paul Jones. She is the cherished mother of Christina (Joseph Palin) Tice and her late son, Captain Peter H. Tice, whom she now joins in heaven. She is the adoring mother-in-law of Heather Tice. Char is the cherished grandmother of Casi Palin (19), Joseph Palin (14), Austin Tice (16) and Celeste Tice (11). She is the devoted sister of Jewett, Earl, Edward (Donna) and Eugene Humphreys. She was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers. Also surviving is her cherished friend, Jericca Ero and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Freedom International Church, 30 Mohawk Trail, Clifton Park, NY 12065 in memory of Char Jones.
