ROTTERDAM – Charlotte May Tusang, 85, died Thursday, January 12, 2012 at home. Born on May 9, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Eva Mae (Sprung) and Delbert Raymond Brewer.
Charlotte was an active member of St. Gabriel's Parish. She served on many committees and clubs. Charlotte was also involved in the Boy Scouts of America and earned numerous awards. Charlotte always felt her greatest accomplishment in life was raising her five children.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, George P. Tusang, Jr.; children Linda Sobieski, Carol (Allan) Swartz, George (Sherri) Tusang, III, William (Dina) Tusang, and Lisa (Mark) Harbison; grandchildren Elizabeth Borkowski, Christina and Craig Swartz, Brittany and Derrick Tusang, Alyssa and Joshua Tusang, and Sarah and Rachel Harbison. Her great-granddaughter, Madelyn Borkowski, also survives.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and Community Hospice for tenderly helping Charlotte in her last days.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:30 am at St. Gabriel's Church, 3040 Hamburg Street, Schenectady. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. In place of flowers, donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America (Twin Rivers Council), 253 Washington Avenue Ext, Albany, NY 12205 or St. Gabriel's Women's Club.
