ALBANY – Charlotte Pelton, 81, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at the Albany County Nursing Home after a long illness.
Charlotte was born on July 10, 1925 in the Town of New Scotland and was the daughter of the late Ray and Mary Fischer Countryman. She resided in Albany most of her life. She enjoyed bingo, card games and feeding birds. She was a kind, warm hearted and giving person.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Katherine Hulick of Menands; her son, Leroy A. Pelton Jr. of Schodack Landing; four grandchildren, Andrew Pelton, Margaret Choppi, James Dayter and Teresa VanWie and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Leroy Pelton, Sr.
Funeral services will be Monday at 12 noon at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). A calling hour will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, So. Bethlehem. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Charlotte Pelton. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to www.newcomerfamily.com
