Cheri J. Parvis

Albany- Sharon "Cheri" J. Parvis passed away on April 24, 2016 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. She was 65 years old. The daughter of the late George "Skip" and Dolores "Del" (DeRusso) Kelly, Cheri was born on October 17, 1950 in Albany, NY.
Cheri was a dedicated employee of Trustco Bank for 28 years. It was here that she formed many lifelong friendships. Cheri enjoyed the love and support of her extended family and her "Trustco Family."
Cheri was known by all to be the most loving, giving, and supportive person. She always put those she loved before herself. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother "Mema" and sister. Words cannot express how much she will be missed.
Cheri is survived by her daughters: Kelly Albanese and Jaime (Derek) Forkel; her son Michael (Crystal) Parvis IV; her grandchildren: Krystal, Emma, Austin, Michael V, Kayla and Mariah; her sister Bonnie (Dennis) Briggs; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, Cheri was predeceased by her brother James Kelly.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 8 pm on Sunday, May 1 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Monday, May 2 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
