Cheryl Ann Carpenter, 67, was called home on Tuesday, July 25th, peacefully surrounded by family.
Born in Albany, NY, Cheryl was the daughter of the late Charlotte (Grignon) Eastwood and the late Matthew Carpenter.
Cheryl was a graduate of Maple Hill High School in Castleton-on-Hudson, NY and attended Mildred Elley business college in Albany, where she studied business management.
Cheryl had numerous administrative positions throughout her career but found her true calling at SecureScan in Albany, where she worked for many years as a data transcriptionist among people who admired her kindness, humor, and warp-speed typing skills.
Cheryl found great joy in the company of family, friends, and her beloved dog Fluffy who was her soul mate. A night owl her entire life, Cheryl was blessed with a cadre of close neighbors and cousins who loved to talk, laugh, and make donut runs into the wee hours.
Above all, Cheryl's greatest fulfillment in life was the bonds of love built with her spiritual family of brothers and sisters at the Albany Church of Christ,
where she was adored for her warm and giving spirit.
Cheryl is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her son, Erik Carpenter of Albany; brother David Carpenter (Jenifer) of Stillwater, MN; granddaughter Gia Dixon of Albany; niece Chloe Carpenter of Lakeland, FL; nephew Hudson Carpenter of Jupiter, FL; and many cousins.
A celebration of Cheryl's life will be held at the Albany Church of Christ, 30 Russell Road, Colonie, NY at 1pm on Saturday, October 7th, 2023.
