Christian Matthew Glickman

Albany - Christian M. "Chris" Glickman Glickman, passed on to a more peaceful place on October 3rd, 2023, at the young age of 44.
Chris was born at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY on April 6th, 1979, the son of Christina and Jeffrey Glickman. He attended St. Catherine of Siena school for most of his youth and continued his education in the South Colonie school district.
As a child he participated in little league baseball and kept that love for the sport, as you'd almost never see him without his prized Yankees caps. He was a gifted artist and enjoyed drawing nearly anything he could imagine, but most especially caricatures of people.
When Chris wasn't dancing at local CYC dances as a teen, you could find him hanging at parties listening to old school hip hop and even dabbling in freestyle raps, as he loved sharing his musical talents.
He was known for having a good sense of humor and taking dares that nobody else would attempt, just for a good laugh. Throughout the years he loved befriending strangers from all walks of life to strike up conversations or tell them a tale. Because of that, he was known and loved by many.
Over the past 14 years, Chris was a passionate and dedicated chef at Saati Deli in Loudonville, NY, where he was well-loved by his co-workers and patrons, alike.
Most importantly, Chris was a beloved and devoted father to his son Hunter. He cherished each and every moment they shared together and did everything he could to make him happy.
Chris was predeceased by his grandmother Mary A. O'Brien, who helped raise him and his siblings. Also predeceased by a number of close aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his mother and father; his brothers Joseph and Patrick Glickman (Amy); his sister Kyla (Justin); his son Hunter; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; most notably his good friend Karen Pitcher. He will be dearly missed by them all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life memorial visitation at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY this Friday, October 13th, 2023 from 4pm to 6pm.
In lieu of flowers, Chris' family asks that donations be made to The Partnership to End Addiction (drugfree.org) or locally to St. Peter's Addiction Recovery Center (SPARC).
