Troy- Christian C. Peppin, 74, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2024 after a long illness. He was born in Troy, New York on August 20, 1949.
Christian is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Debbie (Hussey); his children, Christian (Tamika) and Amy Madelone (Joseph); his grandchildren, Tamia, Jonea, Kimora, Natalie, and Nicholas; his siblings, Gary, Nia, Tod (Suzanne), Nancy, Robin, Wendy Richards (John) and Kate; and many nieces and nephews.
Christian is predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Peppin; his father, George Peppin; and his brothers, George, Mark, and Kim.
Christian was a life long resident of Troy. He attended Troy high school and graduated with an associates degree in Arts from Hudson Valley Community College.
Christian worked at Hudson Valley Community College as an Audio/Visual Technician for 38 years during which time he received the Meritorious Award three times by his colleagues. He retired in 2006.
Christian was an avid Raider's football fan and loved all kinds of music. He was known for his incredible sense of humor and was loved by everyone who knew him.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Community Hospice and Albany Medical Center's doctors and nurses for their kindness and compassion.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189 on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 5:15 pm at the Funeral Home. Those wishing to do so, may come to the funeral home at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 to pay their final respects. Graveside service will immediately follow in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, 51 Belle Ave, Troy, NY 12180.
