ALBANY- Christina C. Byrne, of Albany, passed away on Wednesday February 2, 2005 at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late John J. and Laura DuBuque Byrne.
Christina had worked as a secretary and receptionist for the banking industry. She had also been employed at the Sisters of Mercy Convent and Parson's Center for Children. She was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church and served as a Eucharistic minister and participated with the Nocturnal Adoration Society. Chris enjoyed traveling, helping others and spending time with her family and friends.
She is the beloved sister of Kathleen A. Bauman and John J. (Patricia) Byrne of Albany. Christina is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9:30 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to St. Catherine of Siena Church at 10:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A calling hour will proceed the service, beginning at 8:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady, Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont.
