COLONIE – Christina T. Senna (Herbst), 79, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn after a brief illness. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Hand.
Chris worked in the medical industry as a transcriptionist. She was an alumna of the Vincentian Institute. In her free time, Chris enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. She liked playing the organ and was a lover of cats. Chris was a communicant of St. Clare's in Colonie.
Chris was predeceased by her husband, Phillip Senna, and brothers John and Joseph Hand.
She will be missed by her sons Frederick J. (Nancy) Herbst of Rotterdam and Martin T. (Patricia) Herbst of Guilderland; sister Philomena Biagiotti; grandchildren Daniel (Mindy) and Adrienne Herbst; great-grandson Dylan and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 9:00 am at St. Clare's Church, 1947 Central Avenue, Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Hospice Inn, 315 So. Manning Boulevard, Albany, NY 12208 in Chris' name.
