ALBANY- Christine M. Barber, age 64, passed away on July 23, 2022 at Albany Medical Center.
She was born in Bronx, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Elaine Nischo. She was also predeceased by her granddaughter Amelia.
Christine was employed at SUNY-Albany for over 30 years as a Library Clerk.
She enjoyed scrapbooking, spending time with her grandchildren and family. She also enjoyed traveling to car shows with her sons and taking short weekend trips.
Christine is survived by her sons: John David Jr., Nickolas and Michael (Chrystal) Barber; siblings: Eugene (Anna) Nischo and Patricia (Joseph) Hart; grandchildren: Jayden, Autumn, Grace, Michael Jr., Giavonna, Olivia, and Pasquale. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road on Thursday July 28, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m.. All are invited to attend her funeral Mass at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Avenue, Albany on Friday July 29, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
