DUANESBURG-Christine Anne Barton, 67, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 11, 2022 surrounded by the love of her family.
Christine was born in Schenectady, NY on June 12, 1954 to the late Robert and Dorothy Gaudette. She is a graduate of Mohonasen High School, and Ellis Nursing School. In 1978 Chris married the love of her life, Glenn Barton. Together they raised two daughters.
She will be remembered for her career as a Registered Nurse, as well as her love of children, crafting, painting, volunteering, and animals. She loved to spend her time with her children, grand/great children. She enjoyed summers at Sacandaga Lake camping with her family. She never missed any of her grandchildren's games or events. Her passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was known by everyone as "Nanny."
She is the loving wife of Glenn Barton and devoted mother of Michelle (Billy) Lazar of Mechanicville and Katherine Taylor of Mechanicville. Chris is the cherished grandmother of Tyler (Austen) Coon , Kayla, Erika, and Joseph Lazar and Vincent Taylor Jr. She is the loving great-grandmother of Alexander and Augustus LaJuett, and Tobias Coon. She is the sister to Patricia (Edward) Durocher. Also surviving are her 3 nephews, Brian, Thomas, and Stephen Durocher, and many cousins.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Wednesday, June 22, 2022
from 5:00pm-7:00pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 US-9, Round Lake, NY, 12151 on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 10:00am. Burial will be held at Saratoga National Cemetery.
