Christine Mary Coons was born to the union of Eugene "Whitey" and Josephine O' Leary on November 9, 1954, in Albany, New York. She later would acquire a second fatherly figure in her life, Edward Strohmaier.
At an early age, Christine developed a passion for cooking while working at the family restaurant "The Menu."
Along with traveling, Christine also had a strong passion for helping those in need and took joy in doing so.
Christine acquired her schooling in the Albany County school system where she later graduated from Albany High in 1972. She continued her education in Business Management at Onondaga Community College in 1974.
Christine then met Richard Coons; Eugene and Yulanda Coons were born from this union. She later met the love of her life, Dennis Stoddard, and Justin Stoddard was born from this union. Christine was employed at Bed Bath & Beyond where she worked devotedly for over 20 years. She was also involved on the PTA board for Philip Schuyler, where she continued her love for helping people and the community.
Christine had a big heart for her family and those who embraced her, and she was always considered the matriarch of the family. Christine was a straight shooter and always gave sound advice. When she gave you her word, that was her bond. Along with her children and many others, Christine loved her grandchildren.
Later in her life, Christine found a 2nd home at the Rensselaer Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, where she made many close friends and found true satisfaction learning about Jehovah her God.
Christine leaves her cherished children; Eugene (Nicole), Yulanda (Jordan), and Justin (Algiene). Her grandchildren; Isaiah, Mercedes, Lynnia (Corey Williams; father), Alexander, Olivia, Mya, Giavonna, Jahad, and Jerome, along with a great-grandchild Alejandro Williams. Christine was predeceased by her loving parents and the following: Francis & Bobby, Mary & Frankie. She also leaves her cherished siblings: Karen (Eric), Donna (whom she was predeceased by) and Donna's husband Dave, Chris and Anne Strohmaier, Linda and Jimmy Reddick, Shelly and Bobby (whom she was predeceased) Desforge. Along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends, whom she all loved very much.
