Christine H. Belgiano

COLONIE – Christine Houck Belgiano, 61, passed away at home on Friday, August 2, 2013 after a long illness, with her loving family by her side. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Albert T. and Dorothy J. Houck. Christine was a physical therapist, working at Sunnyview Hospital for thirty years. She was a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Christine enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, swimming and especially loved the time she spent with her family and friends.


She was the beloved wife of 17 years to the late Bruce W. Belgiano. Christine is the devoted mother of Kara Belgiano Rhode and Micah Phillip Belgiano, both of Albany. She is the cherished sister of Linda J. Hutchins and the late Cynthia A. Parry. Christine is the loving grandmother of Halla Belgiano Rhode and Samuel Belgiano Rhode. Also surviving are seven nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.


Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sunnyview Hospital Foundation, 1270 Belmont Ave., Schenectady, NY 12308 in memory of Christine H. Belgiano.
