Christine L. Fitzgerald

HALFMOON- Christine Peek Fitzgerald, 47, of Halfmoon, passed away peacefully on Thursday June 19, 2008 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born in Albany and is the cherished daughter of Raymond and Ann Peek of Clifton Park. Chris was a graduate of SUNY @ Brockport. Chris and her husband Mike began the Saratoga Sweets Candy Company (home of the Peppermint Pig) in 1986 and have grown to its current location in Halfmoon for the past ten years. Chrissy enjoyed spending time with her loyal family and friends, traveling, vacationing, shopping and participating in her children's activities.
She is the beloved wife of 19 years to Michael J. Fitzgerald. She is the devoted mother of Michael M. Fitzgerald and Kayley M. Fitzgerald. Chrissy is the loving sister of Leslie A. (Richard) Geisel, Bret (Andrea) Peek, Rick (Allyson) Peek, Brian (Sue) Peek and Ward (Laurie) Peek. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 pm at Newcomer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday morning at 10:00 at St. Edward the Confessor Church, Clifton Park. Interment will follow at Memory's Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 in memory of Christine Fitzgerald.
