Christine Brandon Luckett

Albany – Christine Brandon Luckett, 63, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020. Chris was the beloved daughter of the late Donald and Anne Brandon, and was also predeceased by her dear brother, Don.

Chris spent decades teaching special education and religious education in the Syracuse and Albany areas. She received her BA from SUNY Plattsburgh and MA from SUNY Geneseo. But what really defined Chris was her undying love for her family, her students, and everyone else around her. She was kind-hearted, pure of soul, and selfless to a fault.

Christine is survived by her sons, Andrew (Katie) Luckett and Patrick (Nicole) Luckett. Chris was eagerly anticipating the birth of her twin granddaughters, Clare Eileen and Hazel Christine. She was also survived by her sisters, Pat Brandon, Mary Brandon, Kathy (Steve) Chevalier, Jeanne (Gerry) Ryan, Nancy (Mark) Chevalier, and Ellen Brandon (Kevin Andress); her nieces and nephews include, Christine, Bridget (Matt), Katie Anne (John), John, Clare, Patrick, John Paul, Annie, Betsy, Michael, Laura, Allie and Olivia; and many loving cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, Schenectady on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 10:00am. Inurnment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
