Christine M. Aidala

COLONIE - Christine "Chrissy" Marie (Lupe) Aidala, 43, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Albany Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Albany and graduated from Colonie Central High School in 1988. Chrissy was a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She enjoyed spending time cooking and baking family favorites, as well as hosting festive parties for family and friends. Chrissy took great pleasure in family traditions, which included planning family vacations to Florida. She also loved cheering on the New York Giants and Yankees. Chrissy was very active in her children's education and participated in many school functions at Veeder Elementary School. Never one to bring attention to herself, she fought her illness with beautiful grace and dignity. Her spirit and zest for life will be dearly missed by all. Chrissy is survived by her beloved husband, John Anthony Aidala; her cherished children, Rachel Christine and John Philip; her loving parents, Philip R. and Angela (Laviano) Lupe. She is the daughter-in-law of John Aidala and the late Barbara A.(Rodgers) Aidala. She is the sister of Philip (Erin) Lupe and Andrew Lupe. Chrissy is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Church, Central Avenue, Albany. Calling hours will be 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
