Christine Sherita Merritt, passed away June 21st. 2021 at age 48. Christine was the daughter of Ronald Carnes, Catherine Jackson and Mary E. Foster born July 17th 1972 in Jamaica Queens, NY.
Christine met Derek and have 4 loving children. Giavonne, 27, Keyonna, 25, Brittany, 23, and Derek 21. Giavonne and Keyonna blessed the family with giving her grandchildren, Shaun, 9, Karter, 5, and Kyree, 2 who she loved dearly.
Christine was an outstanding certified nurse assistant at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for over 14 years. She loved and cared for her patients as if they were her close friends and family. Christine loved to support any small local businesses as she always loved to walk in style when she weren't rocking scrubs and crocs. Christine was thoughtful, selfless, kind, and a very strong independent woman who always did for others. She will be missed by all those she loved.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Monday June 28, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a funeral service to immediately follow at 6:00 pm.
