TROY-
Ned, Christine D., of Troy, 74, died on April 21, 2023, at Albany Medical Center. She was born January 18, 1949, in Cohoes, the daughter of the late Carmen Langlais and George Nedoroscik.
After graduating from high school, Christine started work as a salesperson at Western Union. In her time at Western Union, a notoriously male dominated industry at the time, she worked her way up to be the West Coast district manager. She was stubborn, funny, and a little crazy, all traits which made her an excellent saleswoman, mother, sister, and friend.
As Christine got older she suffered a series of health problems, none of which she bemoaned as a set back. She achieved everything she put her mind to, and she lived how she wanted to. She was one of the strongest people her son ever knew.
Before the sudden death of her sister, Charlene Moore, one of Christine's favorite things was to go to the movies at Clifton Park Mall every Friday. And one of her son's favorite things was to tease her--every Friday--and ask if the movie they saw was "that one with Steve Buscemi."
Christine is survived by her son, Jonathan Ned (Cécile), and her grandchild, Felix Ned, all of Alexandria, Virgina. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Ellen Economos, Susan Rogers, and Nancy Honsinger; as well as many nieces and nephews, including Kaysie Moore and Taylor Moore-Dunkelbarger, and their father, John Moore, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Wednesday, April 26, from 3-6 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy-Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189.
Memorial donations in Christine's name may be made to the ASPCA https://www.aspca.org/.
