Christopher D. Schloss

April 5, 1971 — December 20, 2012

ALBANY – Christopher D. Schloss, 41, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 20, 2012 with his loving family beside him. He was born and raised in Strykersville, NY before moving to Albany fifteen years ago. Chris was the former owner of Scratch Bakery and Café and more recently was the Manager of Bank of America in Chatham, NY. He was president of Lark Street B.I.D. and volunteered with many charitable organizations. Chris was a talented artist and enjoyed baking and using his unique cooling skills. Chris will always be remembered for his generosity, his kind and caring ways and always being there for everyone. Most of all, Chris will always be remembered for his sense of humor and enjoyment of life.

Chris is the beloved son of Bonnie Schloss of Java, NY and Donald C. Schloss of Sheldon, NY. He is the devoted brother of Peggy (Michael) Witkowski, Jason (Justine) Schloss and Jessie Schloss, all of Java, NY. Chris is the cherished uncle of Alyssa, Tyler, Jacob and Brandon. Also surviving are his "boys" and faithful canine companions, Ty and Bo and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.


A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at First Unitarian Universalist Society of Albany, 405 Washington Ave., Albany, NY 12206. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the charity of one's choice in memory of Christopher D. Schloss.
