Christopher Lance Dawkins (Chris) was born October 5th 1988 to his mother Wendell (Wendy) Dawkins and his father Garfield (Lance) Anthony Dawkins in Albany New York. Christopher was suddenly called home on Sunday November 13th, 2022.
He relocated from Albany New York to Dacula Georgia in May 2021. He resided with his paternal grandparents whom he also helped to care for. Christopher was currently employed at Capstone Logistics as a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor in Braselton Georgia. Christopher attended and graduated from school P.S. 27 (Eagle Point Elementary), Hackett Middle School and Albany High School.
In 2013 Christopher graduated from the Hudson Valley Community College Educational Opportunity Program and then transitioned to an apprenticeship training program in Heavy Highway Construction with a concentration in Highway and Bridge Carpentry. He later worked for Harrison and Burrows Bridge Construction, where he later delighted in traveling to Port Jervis NY to work on a 2-year bridge replacement project.
He is the father of a beautiful 13-year-old daughter Tamia Christine Dawkins who he loved, cherished, and spoke about daily.
He is predeceased by his uncle Sheldon and grandfather Wilbur.
Left to Cherish his memory are his daughter Tamia Christine of Colonie, NY; mother Wendell (Wendy) of Albany NY; father Garfield (Lance) of Dacula Ga; sister Crystal of Albany NY; maternal grandmother Viola Earnestine of Albany NY; maternal grandfather Michael Sr. of Bronx NY; paternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Louis Dawkins of Dacula Ga; Maternal Uncle Michael Jr.(Marion) of Lake Worth Fl; Paternal Aunts Renee (Ray) and Nicole of Lawrenceville Ga; his unborn niece Yara Noella along with a host of beloved cousins, other relatives, friends and coworkers.
He will be truly missed by all.
A visitation will be held on Saturday November 26th from 9am-11am with a service to follow at 11am, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie NY 12205.
