ALBANY COUNTY- Christopher Huyck died June 15, 2020 at St. Peter's Hospice after a brief bout with cancer. He was 73 years old. He was born on May 26, 1947 in Albany, NY, the son of Brigadier General John B. Huyck and Natalie (Kiroski) Huyck.
Upon graduation, Christopher enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, and faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard, until his retirement. Christopher was accompanied through his life by his loving wife of 45 years, Louise Huyck. Christopher was a member of the Men's Auxiliary at VFW "Rocket" Post 4534, Rockledge, Florida, serving as Chaplain.
Christopher was predeceased by his parents: John and Natalie Huyck. In addition to his wife, Louise, Christopher is survived by his brother, Dirck Huyck of West Sand Lake, NY; sons, Christopher "Kee" of Mechanicville, NY, David of Tampa, FL and Tom "Chip" of Schenectady, NY, daughter, Alicia of Selkirk, NY and 9 wonderful grandchildren: Nicholas, Patrick, Brittany, Clodagh, Brandon, Caitlin, Ashlynn, Emily and Thomas.
All services will be private at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be at Memory Gardens, Colonie, NY.
